Go-To Travel Food

Whatever the locals are eating! Give me the neighborhood place that’s been there forever, the street food everyone loves, or something completely new to try. I’d take that over something I could easily get back home any day.

Biggest Travel Pet Peeve

Expecting everywhere to be just like home. Even places within the U.S. can feel completely different. You don’t have to love every difference, but experiencing those differences is part of the fun of traveling somewhere new.

Window or Aisle Seat

Window, 100%. I get into my seat, curl up into a little ball, and watch everything outside. I love seeing the world below during takeoff and landing, and staring at the clouds – especially the big fluffy ones.

Pool or Ocean

Ocean.

Not even a competition. Give me saltwater, marine life, and endless water to look out at any day.

I Never Travel Without...

My Flounder plushie. He comes everywhere with me and somehow works as a neck pillow, arm pillow, something to hug, and my little piece of home while I’m away.

My Perfect Travel Day

Start with some good local food, do or learn something I’ve never experienced before, hopefully find some animals or water along the way, and leave enough free time to wander and see where the day takes me.
