Why should I use a travel advisor instead of booking myself?

Think of us as your personal travel advocates and expert planners! We save you from endless hours of online research, handle all the stressful logistics, and use our insider knowledge to craft a trip that’s perfectly tailored to you, often with access to special perks you can’t get on your own. Plus, you get a real human to call for support if things don’t go as planned.

How does the planning process work? Is there wiggle room if I need something a bit different?

Our process is simple and collaborative! It starts with a fun ‘Dream & Discover’ chat where we get to know you. Then, we craft a custom itinerary, refining it together until it’s perfect. Once you love it, we handle all the bookings, and finally, we send you off with all your documents and our full support.

While this is our basic process, we are 100% aware that we are planning YOUR dream vacation. If this process does not work with your needs and your would prefer more or less help with any step we will work with you to make sure that the travel planning process and the trip itself are based on your needs and that you feel comfortable with every step!

Our budget might be a little low. Can you work within our budget?

Absolutely! Our first conversation is all about understanding your vision for the trip, and that includes your budget. We design every trip around your financial comfort zone and are always transparent about costs, ensuring we maximize the value and fun for every dollar you spend.

If we feel that there is no feasible way to accomplish your trip within your budget and have exhausted every possible line of research we will meet with you and recommend some options for cutting costs or finding a destination that will fit into your budget. No matter how much you have to spend, we will do our best to ensure you have an amazing trip!

I have already started planning my trip, but would like a little help. Is that something you do?

We love it when you come with ideas! We can definitely work with your existing plans to build out a complete, seamless itinerary. Our goal is to enhance your vision and take the logistical work off your plate.

Remember, this is your trip! You are welcome to be involved as much or as little as you would like!

Do you book group trips or special events?

Yes, we love planning group adventures! Whether it’s a girls’ getaway, a multi-generational family vacation, or a milestone celebration, we can coordinate all the moving parts to make sure everyone in your crew has an amazing and stress-free time.

We are also happy to help you get your special event off the ground. Are you wanting to host a birthday party, a bachelorette, or even an elopement? We have done it before and are happy to do it again. Special occasions can feel overwhelming and stressful regularly and that stress can increase even more when you throw travel into the mix! But never fear, we will be here every step of the way to make sure that your group or event is exactly what you want it to be!

Do I pay extra to use your travel planning service?

Our current fees are as follows:

Concierge Fee: $75 (This is the fee for booking extras like dining reservations or spa appointments onto a trip without a fee.)
Basic Planning Fee: $100 (This is the fee for curated trips < 7 days.)
Advanced Planning Fee: $150 (This is the fee that we charge for longer trips with more destinations).

How far in advance should I start planning my trip?

The sooner, the better, especially for complex international trips or travel during peak seasons! For major adventures (like a trip to Asia), we recommend starting the conversation at least 6-9 months out. For domestic travel or cruises, 4-6 months is usually a great window to ensure the best availability and pricing.

It is important to note that if you are planning on booking special seasonal events like Christmas Market River Cruises through Europe or a hike through Japan at the height of cherry blossom season or the fall foliage, 12 months is a reasonable booking timeline!

Do you plan trips only to your specialty destinations? What if I want to go somewhere else?

While we have a special place in our hearts for our specialties, our passion is for all travel! We are full-service advisors and can absolutely plan a fantastic trip for you wherever your heart desires. Our planning skills and network of partners extend all over the globe. From cruises to Antarctica and Svalbard to luxury African safaris, we do our best to plan the most amazing vacation for YOU! We will always put your needs and wants first.

What happens if something goes wrong while I am traveling?

This is where we shine! Instead of you waiting on hold with an airline or hotel, you have us. We are your advocates and problem-solvers on the ground, ready to help with everything from a missed connection to a last-minute change, so you can get back to enjoying your vacation.

Often times we get notified about cancelled excursions and possible conflicts even before you do! We strive to get everything figured out as quickly as possible and come to you with possible solutions, so that these unexpected road blocks don’t have to negatively effect your vacation! We deal with the drama so you don’t have to!

When will I receive my final travel documents?

We will send out your final documents around 2-3 weeks before travel depending on your destination. We will send them digitally and are happy to send a physical copy as well if that is something that you would prefer.

After receiving your documents, you will be ready for your trip! But if you are feeling nervous and want added support we can schedule a Bon Voyage Briefing to go over everything step-by-step and provide answers to any last minute questions you have.
